He went on a releasing spree, then raised $113,000 on Kickstarter to further fund his home-grown recording. (Dicky denies any manipulation and insists it went viral naturally). ![]() Hi first video, 2013's "Ex-Boyfriend" from the mixtape So Hard, earned a million hits in its first day on YouTube. Says Dicky: "I learned there that you can make legitimate rap videos for no money." While writing TV ad copy, Dicky helped shoot a farewell rap video for his coworker in a single day.
